An Unsolicited Quest....

He was a little charming boy,
Mischievous smile and spark in eyes.
As childhood sauntered cheery, cuddled
he blessed all lives with bliss  and joy.

Then came the fervent youth
The one which transforms and reforms the views
He too was zealous... full of life
To find the ultimate hope to survive

He was taught always, to move ahead.
To find success, a life worth;
to win and make a mark in world;
to think high and look forward.

The untold was that no one says
To not refrain from typical ways...

Walking confused with ifs and whens
This was the way he found his game
One day walking in this trace
A new something...Broke his pace

So magical it was ...he stood enthralled
He heard melodies ... in every pot and
Saw himself with every shot...

He drew himself closer to it          .
sensed within ablaze spirit.
He gave his all hours to the game,
with champion’s honour...
the goal to attain.

As his dreams, kept to evolve
hopes by all, never failed to haul.
To close his eyes...he tried his best
to prove his passion above all rest.

As years went...expectation exceed
the boy’s aim still not perceived.
There is more to life than a silly game.
As people claimed, he will never succeed.

He kept himself determined and still,
through the world’s need...for his own will.
What parents what siblings
what family what friend
all had the same to explain.

But as he truly loved them all
couldn’t let the despair surge
Impatient sobs...he couldn’t endure
Thou in guilt he had an urge
It’s all worth he tried to assure
But needed time...Just some more

There wasn’t more time to prove.
But was he ever left to improve??
They wanted him to move ahead
To join the crowd...Like people in his age...
Getting work getting engage

Was it a need to leave his desire?
The passion known ...he wished they admire
Not for success...just for flair
This was his pleasure a true one and rare
but still if u wish, “leave me alone”
be patient,” I’ll prove myself”.
He pleaded and requested help.

And then he lost the strength to fight.
One day he said with a faint smile,
Yes, I agree they are all right.

They think I am loser who didn’t succeed.
It’s just a game not life’s need.
I will keep their hopes and keep this aside,
there is a lot else which comes with life.

I will live like my friends do
This is just a game...Something later to do
And someday when I give them all they ask,
I will return
To come to my choice

On listening...to this brave spirit
A fear evokes deep in heart
This innocent hope May never shape...
What comes ahead is a difficult path...
How do I explain, this is just a trap?
Expectation never seize to exist
as one ends, the next begins.

They think they got him in right place.
I feel he was trapped in the ruthless quest

and adding to this gloomy prospect
in what he left to fulfil rest,

we all knew
he was the best.
